important skill to teach your child?

 

It’s has been close to a year since the Covid 19 pandemic, struck the entire world. With the onset of the pandemic, what was often considered normal, took a drastic change, to become abnormal, while what we considered abnormal began the new norm.

In a world where individuals used socialize and interact freely, restrictions were made then enforced, and to some extend lock-down were put in place. Facial became a requirement, either indoor or outdoor.

All these were done, following protocols and guideline held in place, the world health organization to; mitigate the spread of the virus. Funds were set aside to assist in the research and the development of a vaccine within governments and various reputable research organizations around the globe, whose aim was to be administrated to the world population, hence promote herd immunity among the population.

The year 2020/2021 to, many individuals came with so many life changes and challenges, affecting every aspect of our existence. Schools were close; workers were retrenched were those fortunate enough, work from home, and business stagnated were others collapsed, leaving essential  parties of the economy running, such as  the health sector, where hospitals were overwhelmed, security, manufacturing construction just to mention.   

Since schools were closed, as parent we have had the opportunity to stay, socialize and interact with our children for the longest period. Without any worry, which daycare to drop the kid while heading to work.

Now, all that responsibility we once delegated to the teacher is upon to see to it, that our children continue with their learning as required both moral and academic wise. Apart from qualifying in academic education, children opt to be taught, social moral, finance and other disciplines of life as well.

It’s crucial to understand, not only are academic qualification important, social education and how one interact with other is important too, towards the child’s grow and development. Therefore, during this extended stay at home period we have together, as a parent what moral lesson(s) are you teaching and instilling into the minds this young ones under your care.

There are various lessons, worth teaching a child under your care, such include; honesty, financial management, empathy, patience, self-control, people skills and teaching them right from wrong without sugar coating anything just to mention.

Such lessons when taught and instilled to the child early and appropriately can go a long way to see it through, we bring up a respectable and acceptable generation within our communities.

Within the cause of time, it will be we our pleasure, to explore, engage and have to talk about this lessons and how best we can pass them  forward to our kids and the future generations.

Maintain social distance, wear your facial mask, sanitize regularly and to those required and mandated to take the vaccine jab, available now global, having been tested and approved by the World Health Organization(WHO) kindly don’t hesitate take it.

Covid 19 is real, and it takes each and everyone’s input and effort win this fight.
