Uninvolved or Neglectful parenting.

 

When we mention the uninvolved or neglectful parenting styles, we are simply saying, this is the kind of style whereby, the child or the children are left to raise themselves. In such a scenario the parent hardly or to some extent doesn’t ask the child about their day in school or what kind of homework was given.

 

 

And rarely does the parent know, where and who the child was and interacts with, hence proving difficulty to point out whom the friends are, if any. More often the parent is simply detached and uninterested in the child’s whereabouts and no guidance, punishment or reward is given if necessary.

Despite the nature of this parenting, the parent quite provide and meet the require basis necessities that the child needs for the day to day learning.

 Like any other style in parenting, neglectful parenting has its own pros and cons as any other form of parenting style:

Cons.

a.  This kind of parenting brings about rebellious behavior among the child.

b.  It results in been irresponsible.

c.  Bring about lack of accountability among the children, and right into their adult lives.

d.  May result in poor school performance.

e.  The child may face emotional distress.

 

 In order to raise and nurture your child into the ideal person, fully functionally inclined  ,socially, morally , emotionally and with the capability to live along a fellow human ,it’s  necessary to choose wisely what parenting style as a parent to use , to lay the fundamental foundation for child’s life and well being. 

We are currently living in a world so harsh and cruel, that if one isn’t   fully raised to live and stand up its challenges, then we would have failed this generation as parents and guidance.
