understanding our thoughts
A man is as good as his thoughts. Ones’ thoughts can either bring one's downfall or bring success. Therefore, how one deal with his or her thought says a lot? Joseph Edward Murphy once said,” The law of attraction attracts to you everything you need, according to the nature of your thought life. Your environment and financial condition are the perfect reflection of your habitual thinking. Our thought rules the world.”
To live in the full abundance of life, one needs to work on improving how one views themselves. The first step towards personal development is learning to change one's thoughts and aligning them to your purpose, goals, and vision in life. By simply doing these, it’s easier to commission your thoughts and channel them in a positive way. Therefore, promoting positivity in ones’ life.
Quite often we tend to find ourselves, wondering whether we are fully equipped to tackle life's’ blessing and challenges as they come. When such thought starts to resurface, it’s quite important to verbally remind yourself, how capable you are: physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and financially, therefore creating an abundance mentality.
An abundance mentality is the tendency to hold a positive point of view [or perspective] about life in general. Having said that, there is also what we call the scarcity mentality, which happens to be the opposite of the latter.
In economics, scarcity is defined as the study of how we [human] use the limited resources at our disposal, to achieve our goals and vision in life. Such resources may include, time, money, and even our minds. Therefore, when we talk about scarcity mentality it’s the tendency to hold a negative view about life. And quite often, the concept of scarcity affects our thought and hence our life.
For instance,
• What happens to our minds when we feel we have too little?
• How does scarcity shape our choices and behavior?
• How does scarcity affect our thinking and feelings?
To fully understand the above scenarios, we need to draw a clear line on how we want our thoughts and needs to influence our lives, by simply holding a positive view in life hence embracing the abundance mentality.
When a man has enough to depend on, he feels at peace with himself and he is willing to take the risks bearing in mind the outcome in such a venture. But if he can barely secure a days’ meal, such man more often feel obligated to hold onto the little he has, to see him through.
Poverty is multidimensional. It extends beyond money incomes to education, health care, political participation, and advancement of one's own thoughts, culture, and social organization. Hence the need to always hold a positive thought no matter the circumstances one is involved in. Therefore, let strive to hold an abundance mentality hence gearing up positivity into our daily life.
