The Fall

Growing up as an african child is quite an exicting experience but also comes with its own challeges.Born and raise in a small village in Kenya, i had a small circle of friends to play and hang out with, we share both the good and bad moments together.I recall this particular scenario when we decided to compete criss crossing five interlocking  trees right outside my gate.It was one of those competion  that i unwilling to miss.A couple days before the competion we discussed all possible outcomes and possibilities of there occuring an accident but decided to take up the challenge.
The race to win began, when two of my friends climb up first tree and criss cross  through the rest and finally climbing down on the fifth one.Upon completing, they challenged me to prove  them wrong that yes i can do it. I took my first step by walking towards  the first tree, but deep within me i was tensed and worried i might fall and be injured but the thought of been seen as a weak person before my friends i couldn't take it.
Up i climb the first ,second and to the third tree and the tallest of all, i slide  and lost my balance and fell off ,hitting the ground with such a thunder on my butt that i was even unable to cry nor straighten my back due to the pain I was in .upon seeing what just happen my so called friends ran and left me hopeless. After  a few minutes i managed to get on my kneels and claw back into our compound where my mom saw me and as caring as all mothers are, ran towards me a help get into the house.
It didn't take here much of a time to get herself ready and take me to hospital.Only to be put on a bedrest  for a period two weeks.
