what makes a good leader.

There are no calm seas, for leaders in any industry, no matter how serene and secure things may seem. To fit in,therefore we ask ourselves,who is a leader and what makes one ?

A leader is one who knows the way,goes the way and shows the way. While leadership is not about a title or designation, it's about impact ,influence and inspiration.

• influence is about spreading the passion and vision you have for your work and you have to inspire.

For one to be considered a leader he/she have to possess certain traits which are agreed upon by majority of people round the globe. To which I will be sharing certain qualities that demonstrate what a  good leader should be.

1) Effective leaders are realistic. - leaders with this trait possesses confidence without self-delusion or irrationality. They pursue their goals while remaining aware of the magnitude of the challenges confronting them.

2) Leaders make a difference. - before you can lead, you have to believe that you can have a positive impact on others. You have to believe in yourself. That's where it begins, leadership begins when you believe you can make a difference.

3) A leader should be credible. -you have to believe in you, but others have to believe in you too. For others to believe in you, it takes credibility. If people don't believe in you they won't follow you.

4)  A leader believes in something much bigger than their own self-preservation.

If you are going to lead ,you must have a relationship with others that is responsive to their expectation that you are someone they believe in.
